Robert E. Anderson, Esq. is an attorney with over 35 years’ experience in the practice of maritime, real estate, securities and international law. He has developed particular expertise in the areas of mediation and arbitration, and has an advanced degree in Applied Psychology. He has served as an arbitrator in a variety of courts and other venues, has taught courses in maritime and contracts law for the World Trade Institute in New York and has lectured and created courses in legal and business ethics and conflict resolution. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor at Ramapo College of New Jersey in the Anisfield School of Business and teaches Business Ethics and Perspectives on Business and Society. Ted Galantowicz is Executive Director of T - Comp LLC, a firm that specializes in assisting companies with their import and export trade compliance. Ted is a licensed customs broker who served as director of the St. Louis Customs District for 13 of his 30 year Customs career. That career also included five years of service on the staff of the World Customs Organization (then known as the Customs Cooperation Council). More recently, he held private industry positions with Emerson Electric Co., Laird Technologies LLC, and Cooper Bussmann LLC as Global Trade Compliance Manager. Ted completed his MBA studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Marian E. Ladner, Esq. is the Managing Partner of the law firm of Ladner & Associates PC. She primarily centers her practice on Regulatory Compliance with import, export and FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) requirements. Ms. Ladner helps companies create and streamline strategic sourcing and supply-chain operations, with an emphasis towards minimizing duties through participation in government preference programs, such as NAFTA, FTZs, CBI, GSP, and AGOA. Her practice also specializes in assisting multinational companies build, test, and sustain global import, export and FCPA compliance programs. http://www.ladnertradelaw.com/attorneys.asp Tan Miller is the Harper Professor of Global Supply Chain Management in the College of Business at Rider University, and the Director of the Global Supply Chain Management program. Previously he worked in private industry for over 20 years where most recently he was responsible for the operations of J&J’s US Consumer Distribution Network. Prior to that, he headed the U.S. Consumer Healthcare Logistics Network of Pfizer Inc., and he has also held production and distribution management positions with Mercer Management Consulting, Unisys, and American Olean Tile Company. Tan has published four books and over fifty articles, and has made over 100 industry and academic conference presentations on supply chain and logistics operations and planning. His two most recent books are titled Hierarchical Operations And Supply Chain Planning (Springer-Verlag Publishers) and Strategic Logistics: Efficient Transportation Decisions (Boskage Commerce Publications). Tan has also previously taught part-time in the MBA program of Villanova University, has guest lectured regularly at other universities and industry conferences, and has served on the editorial and advisory boards of a number of trade and educational journals and councils. Tan received an M.A, M.B.A and Ph.D from the University of Pennsylvania. Peter Quinter, Esq. is head of Becker & Poliakoff’s Customs and International Trade Department. For 15 years, Mr. Quinter has represented members of the logistics and international trade community before CBP, FDA TSA, and other federal agencies and in the U.S. Court of International Trade, having previously been on the other side of the aisle as an attorney for U.S. Customs. Mr. Quinter is Board Certified in International Law by The Florida Bar, and recognized as one of Florida's "Legal Elite" for 2007, 2007, and 2009. Suzanne M. Richer, founder of Customs & Trade Solutions, Inc. and a Licensed Customs Broker, has over twenty-three year in international supply chain management, having worked in the Ports of Detroit, Miami, Newark and Philadelphia. Ms. Richer has counseled corporations involved in the importation of Automotive Vehicles and Parts, Electronics, Wearing Apparel and Machinery. She has worked with clients during their closing audits with U.S. Customs, assisted companies in participating in cargo security programs such as C-TPAT at Tier 3 levels, and counseled corporations on international trade law issues. Sweetman is a Vice President of C. J. Holt & Co., Inc. and serves as Internal Compliance Officer. She has conducted compliance assessment reviews and on-site training for importers and duty drawback claimants around the country. She taught drawback and import compliance courses for the World Trade Institute for twelve years and has authored many articles on the topic of Duty Drawback. Ms. Sweetman holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Education and is a Licensed Customs Broker. |
